Getting Out of Your Car Lease
We have had this problems ourselves, getting into a two year lease and then life changes and you have to get out of that lease for one reason or another. Of course, there was no Swapalease, Usedcarlease, or Leasetrader back then. We just had to try hard to find someone on our own to buy the vehicle or turn it back in and pay the extra fees which were almost was the same as keeping the vehicle for the next full year. There are many reasons why you may need to get out of your lease. As this video by Money Talks News demonstrates, adding a family member (or two as we did), can render your car unusable for your family. Other things such as, loosing your job, or gas prices hiking to the extent you can't afford the gas, or someone becoming disabled, or becoming a caretaker for an elderly parent or grandparent or suddenly needing to haul things around on a regular basis are all reason why your original lease, which was such a great idea at the time, has now become impossible for you to continue using.
Can It Really Be That Easy?
As with all of life, there are times when it is much more complicated than it should be to get out of your lease, but Swapalease and other websites like it has tried to make this process as easy as possible. As this video points out, you do need to make sure that your lease is assumable, in order for this Swapalease, Usedcarlease, or Leasetrader to work. Which, if you are just getting your first lease and you are checking out this blog, make sure that any lease you make is assumable. This will give you the greatest flexibility possible if something unforeseen happens and you have to get out of your lease, whether it's a vehicle lease or a home or whatever.
Why Do a Swapalease?
So why look for a lease on Swapalease, Usedcarlease, or LeaseTrader or some other type of website? Often we are looking for quick fixes when our life gets rearranged unexpectedly. We have 2 adult daughters that were crashed into this past year (in two separate incidents) , totaling their vehicles. Both accidents were not my daughters' fault but the motorists who caused the accidents did not have insurance, or their companies said that they were not going to cover the accidents, and so our insurance company had to cover the costs to my daughters' medical bills and their cars through our uninsured motorists policy. All of that took time in which we had no vehicle for them to use and then when we did get the final go ahead check in the mail, we didn't want to wait around for them to find the perfect car. We had to get something fast. Swapalease would be a great way to get yourself into a car without having to have a big down payment. You just need a couple hundred dollars for closing fees and the first months payment, in most cases, in order to have your car right away. The advantage is that you can choose a car with just a year or even months left on its lease, allowing you time to search for the vehicle you really want, whether on Swapalease or somewhere else.
